For more than a decade, I’ve developed training tools, e-learning modules, and practice guides designed to help youth-serving professionals show up for LGBTQ+ young people with intention, skill, and love. These resources center lived experience, developmental science, and the belief that every young person deserves safety, belonging, and possibility.
These products have been used by schools, mentoring programs, child welfare systems, and national organizations to build affirming spaces and stronger adult-youth relationships.
And now, many of them are being banned.
Under recent efforts by the Trump administration and allied lawmakers, content that affirms LGBTQ+ youth—including materials that use accurate language about identity, inclusion, and developmental relationships—is being targeted, censored, and restricted. Entire modules have been removed from state platforms simply because they affirm that LGBTQ+ youth exist, deserve care, and deserve to thrive.
Let’s be clear: that censorship is political.
And it’s placing a generation of young people in harm’s way.
But we’re not backing down. because we believe in truth, in evidence, and in the power of visibility..
